Tuesday, April 15, 2008 (Westbrook) - Synergent is pleased to announce the successful merger of GPM FCU with Evergreen CU of Portland, Maine. Evergreen CU returned to Synergent's Episys core processing solution on March 1, from OSI's flagship TCCUS platform. The merger was completed on April 1. GPM CU was a current Synergent Episys user after converting from the USERS platform in Fall 2006.
Tucker Cole, CEO of Evergreen CU, said, "I was impressed by the great job [Synergent] did at conversion but was floored by what was accomplished [for our merger]. The speed with which [Synergent] dealt with our debit card programming request while still not losing focus on Internet banking, audio response, shared branching, and online debit cards was impressive to say the least."
Synergent has converted over 50 credit unions to the Episys platform in the past four years. Synergent was formed by credit unions, and now serves only credit unions. Gary Glen, Senior Vice President for Synergent, said that it is the high level of service that is given to each credit union that makes every conversion a success. "At Synergent, we combine our many resources to offer the best, customized service we can to our credit unions, so they can serve their members the best that they can."
The exceptional quality of the service offered by Synergent has also convinced Capital Area FCU of Augusta, Maine, to return to the organization, with a conversion from their current CUOL XP-2 platform planned for 2009. "We decided to change for several reasons, however the main reason would have to be service. Even though we have not changed over as of yet, the service we have been receiving has been extraordinary," said Diana Winkley, CCUE, CEO of Capital Area FCU.
