Thursday, September 25, 2008 (Westbrook, ME) - Synergent is pleased to announce that Northern Federal Credit Union has signed an agreement to join the growing list of users of Synergent Technology Services and the Episys Core Data Processing System. Northern FCU is a 23,615 member, $134,865,193 credit union, with offices in Watertown, Gouverneur, Lowville and Adams, New York. Synergent Senior Vice President Jeff Gray, said that the addition of Northern FCU to Synergent's Episys users list is a partnership that will greatly benefit all involved. "We are delighted to welcome this credit union to the Episys platform, and in doing so, extend the reach of Synergent Technology Services into the state of New York." Synergent has converted over 50 credit unions to the Episys platform in the past four years. Synergent was formed by credit unions, and serves only credit unions. Gary Glenn, Senior Vice President for Synergent, explained, "Northern FCU is a great opportunity for Synergent. The high level of service that we provide our existing users was one of the major factors of Northern making a decision to partner with us for their core data processing. As we prepare for the conversion, extensive planning, proper execution and a cooperative working relationship between the credit union and Synergent will make this a success. Our goal is the same: to provide high level products and services to their members."
