Thursday, January 8, 2009 The New Year means exciting new training opportunities for Synergent's credit union partners. Synergent has introduced their new Learning Center, presenting a variety of the trainings credit unions have been asking for. Following a successful introductory semester, the Center's first semester kicked off in January 2009. Trainings are designed to ensure that each credit union staff member will be fully capable of performing his or her current job responsibilities. There are a variety of ways trainings are conducted, through hands-on, instructor-led courses, or convenient webinars!
From Card Services training on fraud detection, Technology Services training on Episys, or Check Processing & Support Services training on eDesk, credit unions will find it all under one roof at the Synergent Learning Center. A minimum of four trainings will be held each month. Training sessions are offered in a variety of venues, including hands-on instructor-led classes both at Synergent's corporate headquarters and at other locations throughout the Northeast, as well as convenient webinars that save you money and travel time! Paige Marino, a teller at EMMC FCU in Bangor, ME, attended Teller Training during the introductory semester, before beginning her position at the credit union. "I found attending training sessions at Synergent Learning Center to be very beneficial prior to starting work at EMMC FCU," she said. "It was a great feeling to have an understanding of the Episys system on my first day of work. I would highly recommend the opportunity to attend training sessions at Synergent."
Mary Jo Freeman, Vice President at EMMC FCU, said that this training saved staff time and resources, while achieving impressive results. "We were concerned because we had been running short on staff and typically we do our own in-house training but this opportunity presented itself, she was willing and it worked perfect. She was able to begin with us with some confidence and not that feeling of anxiety that so many do. It's a win-win!"
The Learning Center has classes for all levels of expertise. Heidi L. Vanorse, Vice President of Midcoast Federal Credit Union in Thomaston, ME, said that a recent course helped her use Episys to enhance efficiencies at her credit union each day. "The EasyWriter Class was fabulous! By learning how to access data and create my own reports, I can now check on the status of loans and deposits at my branch, including checking on my past due loans before they become issues. EasyWriter truly is easy to learn and use! EasyWriter provides me with valuable information that I can use in the daily operations of my office!"
